Praga 2008 Introduced for the First Time in Karlovy Vary
The World Exhibition of Postage Stamps Praga 2008 was introduced to the public for the first time at the International Philatelic Exhibition Euregia Egrensis at the Hotel Thermal in Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad). Euroregion Egrensis consists of the Karlovy Vary region and three German Federal States: Bavaria, Saxony and Thuringia. The exhibition, held from 24 to 27 August, followed up on the successful Euro Region exhibitions in Karlovy Vary in 2001 and in Wunsiedel in 2003. Exhibitors presented over 120 exhibits with nearly 10,000 pages (A4 format) of philatelic material.
